Homelessness doesn't always look like the street.
For six months, my family lived in hidden homelessness. We weren't on the streets — we were in a motorhome, on sofas, held up by people who had a bit of space to spare. The council helped us with the first month's rent and deposit for a private rental, and that gave us a home again.
SCM started because of that time. The Daisy is my way of turning something hard into something hopeful — a bag made slowly and ethically, with a share of every sale going to charities supporting families like mine.

Every Daisy is made by DWIJ in India, a female-founded manufacturer led by Soumya. Their materials are all recycled — post-industrial denim and cotton — and 95% of their staff are female. They don't have a sweatshop, it's ethically made, and they pay above minimum wage while giving their staff a skill.
No leather, no faux leather, no fast fashion. Just a simple, well-made bag designed to be used for years.
Why it matters.
I try to make every choice — the materials, the makers, even the tissue paper and sticker — count for something.

I'm a mum, a personal trainer, and a lifelong charity-shop lover. I started SCM after my own family's experience with hidden homelessness — I wanted to turn something hard into something good.
