Daisy, founder of SCM
Meet the founder

Meet Daisy.

I'm a mum first. A personal trainer by trade. A lifelong charity-shop lover. And I've always thought style should mean something.

My family lived through six months of hidden homelessness. It was hard, and it was quiet, and it was what gave me the idea for SCM. The council helped us with the first month's rent and deposit for a private rental, and that gave us a home again. I wanted to make something good out of a hard time.

The Daisy is made from recycled post-industrial denim and cotton — a nod to my charity-shop upbringing. It's handmade by DWIJ in India — female-founded by Soumya, with 95% female staff, no sweatshop, above-minimum wages, and skills training.

I named the Daisy after myself, and the idea of building hope one step at a time. A share of every sale goes to the charities that help families like mine get back on their feet.

If you carry one of these bags, you're carrying a real story. Thank you for that.
